Today we're going to fit the blade on the head of a FS410C Brushcutter. First, fit the locking pin in the bottom right hand side at the back of the head. This will lock the head, and stop it from turning, so you can screw off the nut at the top.You can then remove the plate and two washers which sit inside the gear head. You don't have to do this, but it's good to check on these components. Now, place the thrust plate back in position...To ensure it's seated correctly, it's best to fit it with the locking pin going through the plate. At this point you can see where the pin is thread through, and how this stops the blade?? from turning...Once the thrust plate is back on, push it down and make sure it's locked into place. Now, you can fit the washer which sits on top of the thrust plate..You can now fit the blade on top of the washer. Once the blade is in place you need to put the thrust washer on top...Then, screw the collar nut in place to secure it. Now, return to tighten with 19mm Spanner. Once it's locked in tight, you can remove the locking pin.Spin the blade to ensure it's moving freely and isn't jarring. Thats how you fit a blade to a Stihl FS410C Brushcutter.
