Can this engine be purchased with an electric start?

I have spoken to my Honda dealer and they have said they do not offer any electric start versions of these engine due to the size, they said the electric starts only really kick in on the much larger engines.

Would you know the difference between the GX35 and the GX35T Honda engines?

It is to do with the countries these have been made in. Honda have these made in China and Taiwan so it seems the T version is one of the ones made in Taiwan.
