Overview:
The Long Shank Eye Bolt M16 is a heavy‐duty fixing made from drop‐forged, high tensile steel with a collared (shouldered) design for strength and reliable seating. Rated to a safe working load of 0.80 tonne (800 kg) to BS 529/1, it provides a dependable lifting point when installed correctly. It has a metric M16 thread for straightforward fitting into tapped holes or through‐bolting with a nut, a 24 mm internal eye diameter for easy connection to hooks and shackles, and a long 178 mm shank length (approximately 7 inches) for reaching through thick sections, plates, or timber formwork. The self‐colour (plain) finish is robust and ready for painting or plating if required.
