Today we're going to change the HT Lead on a Husqvarna K760 Disc Cutter. Firstly using the torx spanner, remove the four torx screws securing the assembly in place. This will allow you to remove the recoil assembly and the air conductor. Then using a torx spanner remove the three screws to release the air filter cover. Now loosen the orange base holding the air filter in place by removing the two screws with a torx spanner. Then remove the 4 torx screws to release the grey air filter housing. You should now be able to see the spark plug cap leading from the ignition module. Carefully pull off the spark plug cap. To free the blue wiring disconnect it from the ignition module. Using a torx spanner remove the two screws which hold the ignition module in place. Once the ignition module is released you can detach the HT lead by unscrewing it. Replace your HT lead if necessary. Now secure your HT lead back into place on the ignition module by screwing it in. Then locate your ignition module back into place, then turn the flywheel until the magnet is facing the module. While the magnet holds the ignition module in place, you can screw your ignition module into place. You now need to set the timing gap. To do this place the gap setting tool inbetween the flywheel and ignition module and turn the flywheel until the magnet is in touch with the setting tool. With the gap setting tool in place tighten the ignition module further. This needs to be tight so it doesn't come loose and damage the flywheel. Once that's done, rotate the flywheel so you know it's moving freely. Now reconnect the blue wiring back onto the ignition module. Replace the cap back over the spark plug. Then replace the air conductor, ensuring it's in the correct position and that there is minimal movement. Place the complete recoil assembly over the top of the air conductor ensuring it's seated correctly. Fix the assembly on using the torx spanner to fix the torx screws in, this will secure the recoil. Place the air filter back on and screw in place using the torx spanner. Then pull the bellow back through the housing. Place the base and air filter back in place and screw in using the torx spanner. Finally put the air filter back into position and tighten the screws with a torx spanner. Be careful not to tighten too much into the plastic. That's how you change a HT Lead on a Husqvarna K760 Disc Cutter.
