- The first plant established by Husqvarna was in 1689, originally a weapons foundry producing rifles.
- In 1970, Husqvarna became the first Swedish listed company to appoint a female board member.
- Husqvarna launched the first solar-powered robotic lawnmower in 1995.
- In 1872, Husqvarna began manufacturing sewing machines, a far cry from their current offerings. Production of sewing machines ceased in 1997.
- Alongside sewing machines, Husqvarna has also produced kitchen appliances, including ovens and stoves.
- The original plant was situated by the waterfalls in Huskvarna, Sweden. Note the spelling: Huskvarna with a 'K', not a 'Q'.
- Husqvarna developed the first chainsaw with an integrated anti-vibration system back in 1969.
- The Husqvarna group owns several brands, including Gardena, McCulloch, Poulan Pro, Weed Eater, Flymo, Zenoah, and Diamant Boart.
