Today we are going to change the fuel cap & fuel filter on a Stihl FS 56 Brushcutter. The cap is connected inside the tank via a ball, this can be carefully removed using a flat head screwdriver. Check the o-ring for cracks by running your finger around the seal, this can be done without removing the ring. When replacing a faulty seal work the o-ring onto cap and ensure a tight seal is made. The fuel filter is located inside the tank, removing the filter by pulling away from the hose. Replace the fuel filter and reconnect the hose. The Carburettor will need to be adjusted to manufacturers specifications once the fuel filter has been replaced. To replace the fuel cap you will need to clip the end back into place using a flat head screwdriver. That is how you change the fuel cap & fuel filter on a Stihl FS 56 Brushcutter.
