Today, we're going to change the Fuel Filter on a Stihl MS170 Chainsaw. First of all, make sure you take all precautions before working around fuel & fumes. First of all remove the fuel tank cap located on the right hand side of the recoil. Then maneuver the plastic piece that is located inside the fuel tank so that you can free the cap. Then using a pair of pliers pick out the fuel filter inside the fuel tank. Simply pull off the fuel filter from the rubber tubing. Attach your new fuel filter onto the end of the rubber tubing and relocate in the tank. Place the fuel tank cap back on. That's how you change the Fuel Filter on the Stihl MS170.
